42 Human Skulls
Once upon a time in a Kadazan village in the jungles of Borneo, there was a chief named Monsopiad, he was revered by his people for defending them from their enemies and the local pirates. To prove his skill he would bring back the skulls of his enemies and display them in the village center.
300 years later, these skulls still hang from the place where his house once stood. Every 5 years a shaman performs a ritual to clean them of evil spirits. And while most of the skulls are cracked and old, they are still a vivid reminder of the way people once lived on the island of Borneo.

Do they smell????
Not really, after 300 years they are just dried bone.
