Our Itinerary
After much deliberation, we’ve finally got a rough idea of what our itinerary will be ![]()
To plan this route, we had to see which round-the-world ticket to get. Initially we were thinking of getting one with Star Alliance, but after calculating our mileage and the destinations we want to go to we’ll probably be getting it with One World as they cover more of South America and give better value for money for our particular route.
Here’s our tentative 1-year nonstop travel/work route:

We’ve already done a large part of our Asian leg which included Macau, Hong Kong, Borneo, and Chiang Mai (Thailand). Once we start traveling around the world nonstop for 1 year starting from January 2008, here is what our route may look like:
Singapore, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Puerto Rico, Miami, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Spain (and surroundings), Italy (and surroundings), Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, South Africa, and possibly others that we decide to see along the way.
We’ll probably stay in Europe for a few months and drive around to a few countries not mentioned here. And if we ever want to see new places along the way then we’ll adapt our trip accordingly. ![]()
