Hong Kong Ladies Market
To add a bit of variety to this blog, today we’ll be showing you our trip to the “Ladies Market” in Hong Kong. The name isn’t really indicative of what it is, since both men and women shop there, and we didn’t see any ladies for sale either
What we did see though was a lot of counterfeit goods from China!
There was everything from fake Rolex watches to fake Gucci bags, and for some odd reason the shop keepers didn’t like us filming! Maybe because they’re breaking the law and they could be severely fined or jailed for it?
Whatever the case, we got all kinds of reactions, from people asking us to stop filming, to one person physically trying to cover the camera with his hand.
But we filmed them anyway! Why? Because we’re video blogging around the world! How could we let a few fake-goods-salespeople stop us!
The police obviously know about this place as it’s in all the tourist material, and seem to be turning a blind eye. So we just had to show our findings online!
By the way, I had to post this video using youtube because metacafe, which we usually use, was having some problems today. Because of this the quality is worse than usual, but that’s youtube’s problem! I’ll try to get the video posted through metacafe as soon as it’s back up.
If you post a blog about this and link to our site, or if you forward this to a friend, you will stand a chance to win a Sony Photo Printer!
