Where Are All the People??

This was our first trip flying budget out of Singapore and we got to go through the brand new budget terminal that has just been built here. It is only a stone’s throw from the other terminals, and yet a world away! Take a look at the video!

The first thing we noticed when we came in was that the place looked like a ghost town!! Nothing like the crowded, yet highly efficient terminal 1 & 2. Where did all the people go? Does no one fly budget here? Or more likely, most budget carriers don’t yet go to the budget terminal.

The airport does look empty?! I’ve flown on budget in Europe many times and the airports were packed!

Hi Grace,

You will need to have flash 7 or higher to view the videos. You might want to try downloading it from: www.adobe.com then clicking on the button to get flash.

We went to Macau last May (2006) by Tiger Air SGD1.00 per person. That was a very bad experience for us! The flight delayed from 11:00am to 17:00pm! More than 200 people crowded the budget terminal! I told my wife I wouldn’t take Tiger Air anymore!

Wow! We must have been lucky then. There seemed to be almost no one in the airport and the flight was on time. Maybe we flew on a less popular day.

These budget airlines need to attract more passengers by offering seats for free
